15th Taishan Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha 2023

The 15th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup was held in Doha, Qatar from March 1st to March 4th. The four-day competition included 154 participants from more than 50 countries of 5 continents competing for the top prize with 112 men (MAG) and 42 women (WAG) participants.


Doha is the second stop on the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series, where top-ranked specialists on each apparatus garner points so as to lay claim for a place in the 2023 FIG Artistic World Championships. Germany’s Cottbus hosted the first while the third and fourth will be held in Baku (Uzbekistan) and Cairo (Egypt).


Uzbekistan’s record eight-time Olympian Oksana Chusovitina lived up to her expectations after she qualified for the women’s vault final at the 15th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup here on the first day. The 47-year-old, who won bronze in Cottbus event last week, accumulated 12.899 in her combined double attempts with a difficulty and execution scores of 4.4 and 8.766 in the second that saw her finish fourth in the qualifier.
